This walnut and maple chess board is a concept design created by Dave Picket, featuring actual brass skeleton keys. I don't play chess very well but would really like to learn, just to get the satisfaction of locking these beautiful keys into place. However, it might make it less satisfactory for me to throw the game off the table in disgust when I lose....
