Julia DeVille's work is inspired by the Memento Mori jewellery from the 15th to 18th century and Victorian Mourning jewellery - she is fascinated by the acceptance of death in these periods. Most of her work involves cast bones or taxidermy, which she considers to be "a celebration of life, a preservation of something beautiful".
