
Georgia Russell must have a lot of patience to create pieces such as Le Mariage Parfait (2007, shown above). I love her work, which transforms found ephemera (such as books and newspapers) into intricate constructions, which have been described as 'membranes of memories' - representing 'our fading recollections of a time, person or place'.
Oddly enough, I also rather like the name of her recent exhibition - 'Persistent Obsessions'. Nice!
She will be exhibiting with England & Co at the London Art Fair in January 2009. More work can be seen here.
