I have always been a huge fan of animation, particularly (and perhaps slightly curiously) backgrounds. All the better if they have a hint of 1950s modernism about them!
There are some great ones from Cartoon Network's Robotboy over at VISUAL PHOOEY! - the blog of Chris Garbutt, who art directed the first series.
